Project Description
For Fans of: The Replacements, Deer Tick, Rise Against, The Violent Femmes, Skegss, The Hold Steady, Old 97s.
On March 17th, Raleigh, NC-based rockers Thirsty Curses will release their anthemic new single, “Punk Rock Ruined My Life“.
The song sprung out of a joke among a few of the band members and their friends used to make about all the different ways that punk rock had ruined their lives. They should become determined to educate the youth about the perils of punk rock music. This would include speaking at local high schools and handing out Eagles records to the easily influenced youth to save them. The whole idea really cracked up Thirsty Curses front man Wilson Getchell, so he wrote a tune about it.
Incidentally, “Punk Rock Ruined My Life” has been a part of the band’s live set (and a crowd favorite) for years. But for whatever reason, the band never got around to recording it until December 2022.
The wait is nearly over…On March 17th, the global movement begins…
Thirsty Curses isn’t just a band, it’s also a philanthropic outfit.
