Project Description

BROOKVILE, NY — Learn the real story behind the recent resurgence of vinyl records from world-renown expert Larry Jaffee, who wrote the 2022 book, “Record Store Day: The Most Improbable Comeback of the 21st Century” (Rare Bird, Los Angeles).

The vinyl revival defies all technological, economic, and ecological logic in the digital age, with a U.S. business that hit $1 billion in shipments for the first time since 1986. Vinyl fans today represent all consumer demographics and music genres.

Monday, August 26, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Lorber Hall, Long Island University-Post Campus, 720 Northern Blvd., Brookville, NY 11548
